As the “producer” of this series, please pardon me while I think of an answer that both confirms and debunks your ideas.

    Hmm…

Great post always worth the wait. I expect at some point we will have to wait for the next Fred post for 6 months. really funny. if i could +5 I would

OMG, Kat, you’re right! The whole thing is an analogy. Well, silly me for thinking that free will still exists on that island.

        I O[bviously] W[as] A[abducted]

    Awesome job.

His hair is STILL wet. Its always wet. Does he live underwater? He desires money and a girlfriend but he’s doesn’t believe his powers can bring something like that. What does that mean? He only asks for things that don’t mean much to him therefore he is using his powers more as a party trick than for the good of mankind (and womankind!). Do you ever notice that he always sits down when speaking to his mom? What does THAT mean? Did you catch the date on the penny?

  5. sleepz Jun 14, 2007 8:28 a.m. Comment: 5

Shell since the crash he hasn’t really cared much for hygiene, his hair isn’t wet. I believe he has a girl friend he met on the island Weird looking chick with green skin and 4 toes. IOWA - I Only Want Nesgfprghhh2 thats his girlfriends name.

The produces would like to debunk any suggestion that Fred uses hair products that have been tested on animals. Such hair products will never be mentioned in connection with the show.

The producers look forward to making more comments as helpful as this one in the future.

  7. shell Jun 14, 2007 2:08 p.m. Comment: 7

O.k, I think we’re getting somewhere here…Since Fred has scientific tendencies but has ethical issues with animal testing he has got to be with Darhma who only uses humans in scientific experiments. His alien abduction “story” , although emphatically stated and “proven” with the clown/dog bank, is just a cover up. He’s just pretending to be an adorable crazy. He is luring us in with his “I’m-a-sweet-funny-crazy-you-can-trust” scheme so that we can be his next test subjects. Be careful, they are the trickest kind of them all.

The producers would like to debunk any suggestion that Fred is adorable. The producers would like to confirm suggestions that Fred is crazy. Good catch!

  9. shell Jun 14, 2007 5:40 p.m. Comment: 9

Now its getting really tricky. If its true that Fred is crazy, was he crazy before the island, because of the island, or was he never on the island and he’s just crazy.

  10. shell Jun 14, 2007 5:50 p.m. Comment: 10

I think I figured it out. He was never on the island and is just crazy. This is based on the only 2 facts the producers actually confirmed. Fred is crazy and Fred is a vegan. There is no way a vegan could have survived for greater than 90 days on the limited area for food gathering. I hope by figuring this out, it doesn’t prevent Fred from continuing his just plain craziness.

  11. ProfOzone Jun 14, 2007 8:03 p.m. Comment: 11

(Interesting… the viewers are much more interested in what the producers say than in looking for and analyzing Easter eggs… hmmm…)

  12. shell Jun 14, 2007 9:02 p.m. Comment: 12

profOZ: kinda like the real LOST theorizers, eh? Katrina: Fred is their son? or one of their brothers? or is it that Iowa has corn and Fred is an alien and he can read those crop signs?

  13. jazprof Jun 14, 2007 9:23 p.m. Comment: 13

Well Kate says she’s a vegetarian.

  14. shell Jun 14, 2007 9:47 p.m. Comment: 14

Yea but vegans diets are much more strict than vegetarians. Kate could probably ate most of the Darhma food drops. Unfortunately, Fred probably couldn’t. Maybe that is why he went crazy. He had to chose between science (biology dictates you have to have protein) and faith (beliefs). When it comes down to do or die, what will win out? Ask echo. so, wrt to Fred, he is still alive….. that is if he really was on the island.

  15. ProfOzone Jun 14, 2007 10:37 p.m. Comment: 15

OK, OK… I’m about to have a genuine “producer’s moment” here.

The actor playing Fred is vegan.

Fred isn’t. After all, he eats macaroni and cheese dinners.

    Easter eggs people! Easter eggs!

    oh, I get it. sorry

  18. ProfOzone Jun 14, 2007 11:04 p.m. Comment: 18

Heh… don’t apologize! I think you guys are awesome! :-D

I’m just messin’… as any good producer would…

  19. shell Jun 15, 2007 12:46 a.m. Comment: 19

blue shirt. meaning a political affiliation or star trek role?

  20. ProfOzone Jun 15, 2007 1:20 a.m. Comment: 20

    :-D

Or maybe it’s the only shirt I had with “Iowa” on it…

  21. shell Jun 15, 2007 3:16 p.m. Comment: 21

Aww, prof, I think we’re letting the producers down, I just don’t see any other easter eggs other than the shirt. Katrina: I HOPE we start getting some answers to those mysteries soon. I’m starting to think their making it up as they go along or trying to get some ideas from the fans on how to write the plot

  22. jazprof Jun 16, 2007 8:05 a.m. Comment: 22

Kat & Shell me too :) — does that mean that we should concentrate in our comments in describing a direction we’d like Fred to go? Is the comment box OUR magic box?

Speaking of boxes—Fred did say he was abducted before the crash. Then after the crash he got the most delicious mac n cheese he had ever tasted. Do you think Fred is responsible for bringing the mac n cheese to the island?

And do you notice that at first he thinks of a modern bank and then changes to an old-fashioned one? (messing with time) And the bank is another Kate connection.

  23. shell Jun 16, 2007 10:47 a.m. Comment: 23

It does say this is a flashforward in the link…..Maybe you’re right Jazprof, the comment box is our magic box and we can change what happens to fred so he’s not so crazy. O.k,, let’s focus…..Hmmmm is this like wishing on a star and you can’t say it out loud or the wish doesn’t come true? I’m going to focus anyhow…..I’m wishing that Fred actually had the courage to leave the beach instead of just being a spectator….

  24. jazprof Jun 16, 2007 12:17 p.m. Comment: 24

Wow, good thinking Kat! After a quick glance at that post, I do notice that one point Prof makes is that Iowa is sometimes confused with Wisconsin—known for its cheese. Coincidence?

  25. ProfOzone Jun 16, 2007 11:59 p.m. Comment: 25

Wow! The bank IS another connection to Kate! That’s amazing!

    Er…. uh… ahem… I mean…

Yes, the connection between Fred’s bank and Kate’s bank… jolly good catch…

(By the way… episodes 4 and 5 were finished before episode 3 was posted… but that doesn’t mean that episodes after 5 won’t be influenced by comments. Sure, I have the guts to admit it!)

  26. jazprof Jun 17, 2007 7:31 a.m. Comment: 26

hehe—see this is why it’s important to look at the product more than the intention.

Yes, the connection between Fred’s bank and Kate’s bank… jolly good catch…”

Very occasionally I manage to get one of those really stratospheric ones, you know, the ones that are way out there, in the…ummm….you know that stuff that protects us all from getting fried. :-)

  27. ProfOzone Jun 17, 2007 4:16 p.m. Comment: 27

Oh yeah… that stuff… it’s called, um… dang, it’s right on the tip of my frontal lobe…

  28. Paintgirl18 Aug 27, 2007 11:40 p.m. Comment: 28

Wow! So there’s an actual hardcore mystery going on here. Hmm..it’s not just for laughs. I was just watching it for the comic relief…I didn’t realize there was an actual plot. But are you making it up as you go along?

Regardless I like it, it’s kinda like a little “Lost Experience”…..”The Ozone Experience”, or “Fred’s Experience” or “Experience Fred”.

Heh- and u can’t debunk that Fred’s adorable. He just is
