with info from the blast door map we see that there is a cerberus station. i believe that this is where dharma people monitored all the other stations. this is where they created the smoke monster to scare the dharam workers and keep them in their stations. also on the map it says “suspected shutdown date: 10/28/84. this is how long the smoke monster will last? in 2084 it will die maybe? i think the looking glass can interfere with “the listening station”. here at the listening station they can get recordings from the future. when the button was being pushed it was going to the cerberus station and somewhat controlling smokey. but now smokey can roam free all he wants. valenzetti equation developed in swan station.
I agree Dharma created Cerebus, but not scare the workers. It was, as Rousseau said, a security system.
My theory is that “the incident” that also created the need to enter the code/push the button also caused Cerebus it to malfunction explaning why the compund needs the sonic fence to keep it out.
what do you mean by “valenzetti equation devloped in swan station?” it doesn’t read as a complete thought. can you elaborate?
