Everyone out there is saying that there is some sort of time travel involved, well the thing is there is but its not physical.
On one of the interviews with the writers for LOST they said that the big mystery isnt time travel. In fact TT only plays a small role(desmond) beacause they actually came out and said that Desmomd can see the future, but as far as someone going from the future BACK to the past, it just aint happening. In my opinion the writers are too smart to let this whole mystery rest on time travel. They going to try to mislead us the whole way through this thing and then at the end we’ll realized that looking back at it all, as a whole, it all makes perfect sense.

I don’t buy TT as well. And what Desmond had isn’t time travel he just had a Deja’vu experience and saw how decisions and actions give the illusion of changing the course of things.
Quantum physics explain that. When your thinking process reaches a certain level (frequency) it can break (disrupt) the constrains in time and space. But just your mind not your body.
He was simply lay down in the jungle “sleeping” while his mind travelled in time and saw things from a different perspective, nothing else.

Time travel sucks and the writers are better than that.
Actually, the writers did say that Desmond did in fact re-live a certain portion of his life (correct me if I am wrong).
So in a certain sense, time travel has occured for at least one member of our group. Maybe not physically though… Perhaps just his conscientious travelled back in time and he is having “forward flashes”.
