I got this idea while reading Lockenessmonsters theory “A Paraplegic,a Spinal surgeon and a Coffin.

This has probably already been put up here but i was thinking about the fact that Jack the spinal surgeon and Locke the paraplegic happened to crash on the island together.Rose was taken by Bernard to see the healer(whos name I cant remember) at Uluru. The healer told her that he couldnt help her and that Uluru was not the place for her healing. So then maybe the island is just another of those places on earth that have special healing qualities.Would the fact that Jack has a very strong will and fix it attitude compound the islands powers for healing?Dont know where i’m going with this but it just interesting that John had the very injury that Jack had already miraculously healed for Sarah.

yea wtf, that is kinda what i was geting at. I agree that it is to much of a coincidence that locke and jack both ended up on the some island. I tried to come up with a theory that maybe the island uses special talents of each of its tenants, but in more of a miraculous way. For example jack being a spinal surgeon and the island using that to heal locke. I also thought about the whole ghost situation. For this I came up with Hugo being in the mental institution and having his imaginary friend, Dave i think it was, telling him to keep eating. The island could be forcing for example Jack to see his father much like Hurley saw something that wasnt there. However, this theory became flawed as a couldnt think of anymore examples of characters having other characters past expeirences of powers on the island.

Lockenessmonster: I was thinking that Jacks ability -that of will/faith to fix things goes further than just helping the island to heal john.He also brought Charlie back to life after the hanging and that also seemed by his will.Ben said he wanted Jack to want to do the surgery. Seemed like Ben didnt think Jack could fix him unless he had the will to.Am i mixing up faith and will or can they be the same thing?
