“Bens’ Cancer, Another coffin guess, Locke and the Flash-forward, Ethans’ super powers, Fertility issues”

Alright here it is. The big theory that everyone has been waiting for. I have tried to answer all the main discussion points on lost. Soooooooooo with further pointless introduction. LOST!!

Bens’ Cancer

Ben always had cancer. But Jacob kept it at bay, healed him when it came back. So Ben goes and tells everybody that no-one can get cancer on this island. Then Ben started ignoring Jacob, not following his orders and doing what he thought was right. Jacob did not like this and stopped healing Bens’ cancer. When Ben is told by Juliet that he has cancer, he is worried because Jacob has stopped healing him. But Jack removes Bens’ tumour and Jacobs plan fails. Then when Ben brings Locke to the cabin Locke hears Jacob saying help me. He wants Locke to stop Ben, now as you can imagine Ben wants to stay the leader. He is very insecure and does some stupid things, attacks the camp early, shoots Locke ect.

Another coffin guess

The main guesses as to who could be in the coffin are usually Locke or Ben. But has anyone every thought that it was Sawyer. Think about it. Jack was asked whether he was a friend or a relative, Jack said neither. He never really liked Sawyer. Kate and Sawyer could have had some huge fight and decided to split up, which is why Kate looks surprised when Jack asks her if she would go to the funeral. The newspaper clipping says that the persons name begins with a J… and ends in …Antham. It is likely that having killed the original Sawyer, Sawyer would want to change his name. Escape his old life as a con man, whilst he was with Kate.

Locke and the Flash-forward

It’s pretty obvious now that Jack was not witnessing his flash-forwards in the season finale ‘through the looking glass’. But I think someone did, that someone. Locke! Note that when there is a close up of an eye, it is always the flashback characters. In through the looking glass there is a close up of Lockes eye. I believe that when ‘Walt’ came to get Locke he showed him Jacks future, and that’s what drove Locke to murder Naomi in cold blood. The Walt that we saw wasn’t actually Walt. It was an image connected to the monster.

Ethans’ super powers

Ethan posses abnormal strength for a normal human being. Re-watch ‘homecoming’. He grabs Charlie by the neck and lifts him from the ground. Also in ‘All the best cowboys’ Ethan somehow ties a rope round Charlies’ neck blindfolds him then chokes him up in a very tall tree, whilst keeping Claire captive, who I doubt Ethan would have the heart, or the mind, to knock Claire out. As she was pregnant and it could have damaged the baby. Ethan seems to be a skilled fighter, beating Jack to a pulp, a skilled hunter, hunting with Locke and a skilled surgeon as Ben described him. Whilst Ethan has great fighting skills, none of the others seem to have the same strengths as Ethan. This would explain why Ben sent his only Doctor to infiltrate the camp. Ben says he wants lists in 3 days, but Danny also says that “Shepherd wasn’t even on Jacobs’ list.” So why would Ethan make a list if Jacob could just do it.

Fertility issues

It would be too much of a coincidence to have Bens mother dying when he was born, for that not to be linked the pregnancy problems. Furthermore, Bens mother died in her 7th month of pregnancy, Juliet said that Sun will have until the start of her 3rd trimester, that’s about 7 months right. Claire and Rousseau both had their babies without any problems. But all the pregnant others have died. They have all been in the presence of, talked to and worked for Ben. Richard talks to Sawyer in episode 19 ‘The Brig’. He says that Ben has been making us focus on novelties like the fertility problem. When Ben became leader of the others, he must have been obsessed with finding his mother finding out where he is if she is still alive. Then the mothers start dying, think back to episode 13, Boone sees his sister die, why? To help him let go of his sister. The mothers dying are the islands way of telling Ben to let go. But he doesn’t it makes him more obsessed. He hires Juliet just to help him with that problem, but it will only go away if he let’s go.

So there I’m finished. I spent ages on this so please don’t just minus it without leaving a comment. It might be a load of crap but please tell me what you think of it.
