Jacob’s consciousness will be transferred into Aaron’s body.

Here is my Lost theory had it been limited to one 13 episode series and the additional storylines had not been introduced to further confuse us.
The island is invisible to the outside world because of the electromagnetic anomally.
Jacob crashed on the island aboard the Black Rock.
The anomalous nature of the island leads to physical and mental manifestation of the individual and collective consciousness of its current (and ex) inhabitants, especially in close proximity to the black rock (the material, not the wreck). The rock absorbs the consciousness.
There is a natural competition between Good and Bad both within the collective consciousness and within that of each individual.
Jacob overused the power of the rock and lost contact with his body, which was placed in the cave, awaiting his return.
The Hanso organisation owned the Black Rock and now want to keep the secrets of the island but want to release Jacob. They use the black rock and strong minded individuals to read minds and influence people off-island.
Richard Alpert, an original inhabitant of the island was charged with bringing to the island a group of strong minded people who can resist the temptations of the black rock but have the mental strenghth needed to release Jacob.
The “monster” is mereley the island’s first attempt to communicate with the new islanders which overwhelms the Losties. It is their fear which manifests itself as the island shaking etc.. It takes time for the island’s consciousness to read them all an adjust its communication with them accordingly.
Animals are easier manipulate.
The whispers are the new islanders beginning to tune into the island. They are more apparent when individuals are seperated from the group.
The black smokie is a physical manifestion of the island’s collective psyche, formed by black rock powder, and provides a means to read and communicate with individuals directly.
The Losties have been selected because they are strong minded individuals who, because of their personal circumstances will hopefully be persuaded to stay on the island.
The’bad’ Losties are eliminated (by the rest of the collective) and the chosen few allowed to live in the paradise of the island for the rest of their lives. Fade out….with Jack looking very guilty and unsure….perhaps things aren’t as good as thet seem…..
Possibly;
‘Adam and Eve’arere Jacob and Leah. (See Cave of the Patriarchs - Wiki).
Aaron (and therefore Jack) are direct descendants of Jacob.
Rose and Bernard take their place in the cave (holding the balck and white stones) thus maintaining the island / islanders conciousness connection. Jacob’s consciousness is transferred into Aaron’s body.
Jack and Aaron could indeed be direct decsendants of Jacob! Christian Shephard is on the island too! I don’t know how else to explain why they are all there!
The rest of your theory is rational too. Have you read the seventh seal theory? I’m not sure of its name but its familiar to yours. I agree with most of the points you have made.
I think this theory does a lot to answer the overall story arc +1. I have been thinking along similar lines.
I always assumed Jacob and the smoke monster were one and the same. Jacob is trapped on the island, your explanation of this makes perfect sense to me. Jacob manifests everything for a reason. He is trying to source people who are sensitive to the manifestations. Much like hypnosis, this works better on some people than others. Some people are more open to suggestion. Ie Locke.
Jacob’s goal is to get off the island. Ben wants him trapped there. I think Ben’s goal is actually sacrifice of the few to save the many. Everyone who follows Ben is prepared to put their life on the line for their cause. They believe in something bigger than their own lives. Jacob’s list would indicate people who could ‘understand’ this point of view. I certainly don’t mean this in a religious way, but I think ‘good’ people are ones willing to drop their own agendas for the sake of humanity?
Jacob seems the opposite. He seems focused on saving himself and getting rescued.
Eko is killed because he is stubborn and goes against Jacob’s wishes. He seems to have made a final decision and Jacob’s influence cannot effect his actions any more. Desmond’s visions are along the same lines. Everything he sees and then does, pushes him towards making the island visible for the boat.
