LOST-Theories.com

Morning my ‘ol LT pals. Had a thought about CF that I wanted to pass on.

I’m really loving the whole CF on the LT thread thang. I love hanging out with you guys, and as we were saying last night, it would be so awesome if we could be doing it face to face. I feel so close to all of you and relaxed with all of you that I forget sometimes that we aren’t actually doing that. But then I do remember that there are trolls sometimes—trolls who whisk perfectly good theories to the debunked category for instance. And that reminds me that the internet is not always the most safe place.

That’s something I’m working on keeping in the back of my head anyway and wanted to share with my buddies.

jp, are we the official morning crew or what?

  2. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 7:11 a.m. Comment: 2

Jaz: Thanks for sharing, feel close to all of you as well, even though I missed yesterdays CF. I did manage to browse through most of it and had a good laugh, wished I were there, but do know what you mean.

kat: an L-T cruise, what a great thing to save my money for!!! I’ve never been on a cruise and since my divorce, haven’t really been anywhere.

lockeko: did you ever make it to CF? I didn’t read down to the end, it seemed to be breaking up, so I stopped reading? And yes, I guess we are the morning crew. lol

  3. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:16 a.m. Comment: 3

I made and closed it down while ago. Right back at ya freckles. Hope the burns are healing well.

  4. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 7:31 a.m. Comment: 4

yup—morning crew…sometimes I wish I could sleep in; I always seem to wake up as soon as it’s light regardless. But then again I sort of enjoy being the morning crew :-)

  5. Stip Aug 18, 2007 7:32 a.m. Comment: 5

Jaz: did we cross the line?

  6. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:34 a.m. Comment: 6

Stipper, I think its a little too late to ask that question now. But don’t worry about it. Remember regret over acting is much more tolerable than regret over inaction.

  7. Stip Aug 18, 2007 7:40 a.m. Comment: 7

lockeko: I’ve read your comment twice now and am still trying to decipher its meaning.

…regret over acting is much more tolerable than regret over inaction.”

Is that a lockekoism, or from some famous philosopher? It sounds deep, but over my head. Help me, brotha…

  8. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:45 a.m. Comment: 8

Its probably a really bad attempt at sounding deep. I think I need Jaz or Prof to explain what I meant. They’re the educators around here. I’m just the security system

  9. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:46 a.m. Comment: 9

Yeah I guss at the end of the day regret just doesn’t bother me much. Either do or don’t but don’t worry about either. Thats my motto

  10. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:48 a.m. Comment: 10

I think Kat is right. It’s very debatable. And I don’t think there is a definitive answer for everybody. It’s more of a personal life decision that we all have to make.

  11. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 7:49 a.m. Comment: 11

stip—no worries. You are a great host, a gentleman and a scholar of the first order. I love you, man. Lockeko says it well. Mostly wanted to just put my own self-reflection out there. And I don’t want to draw any lines round nobody. Being one of those punk/hippie — let your hair down (or wear it up in a ‘hawk) types myself. Just having an eye toward the next get together and thinking about some of the less positive interactions that sometimes have happened on the board.

I love all of you guys (see how I avoided the “tm” there)—absolutely no criticism meant.

  12. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:50 a.m. Comment: 12

So, Stip, since you started us down this road, I guess I’m saying you’re the only one who can decide if the line was crossed. Well you and about the million other people who will read the thread.

  13. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 7:51 a.m. Comment: 13

lockeko: That’s obvious to all of us! lol

  14. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:51 a.m. Comment: 14

well played jaz, I like the way you think.

  15. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 7:53 a.m. Comment: 15

Do or don’t do, there is no try…wait, I don’t think that’s what he meant. Heh, well I guess I thought I understood–something like “It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.”

  16. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:54 a.m. Comment: 16

thanks annie. I understand my role is not to figure out the mysteries of the island, only to try to keep out those who don’t respect its beauty.

  17. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:55 a.m. Comment: 17

    nice shakespeare shout out jaz

  18. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:56 a.m. Comment: 18

Thanks for knowing what I meant to say. And I think the older I get the more I believe it

  19. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 7:57 a.m. Comment: 19

He’s too negative for this crowd, we are more of a Kan kind of group

  20. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 7:59 a.m. Comment: 20

I don’t think he was feeling phenomenal this morning, kat.

  21. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8 a.m. Comment: 21

You are most welcome, my friend.

  22. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:01 a.m. Comment: 22

Jaz, I meant’ nice Tennyson shout out. Its been too long since college I guess. Sorry JP

Truth is beauty, beauty truth, nothing more

Jaz it is truly an honor to be considered your friend

  24. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:04 a.m. Comment: 24

work on saturday sucks. Now thats philosophy.

  25. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:06 a.m. Comment: 25

O man, if we are going to start with Keats I might not be able to stop….

  26. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:10 a.m. Comment: 26

OK—so we’ll have this emblazoned on something for next Friday:

    O for a draught of vintage! that hath been/ Cool’d a long age in the deep-delvèd earth,/ Tasting of Flora and the country-green,/ Dance, and Provençal song, and sunburnt mirth!/ O for a beaker full of the warm South!/ Full of the true, the blushful Hippocrene,/ With beaded bubbles winking at the brim,/ And purple-stainèd mouth;

  27. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:11 a.m. Comment: 27

JP, I wrote a paper in my senior year discussing the different views of the two. Tennyson was all about going for it and dealing with disappointment, and Keats was all about the perfect image existing only prior to the actual event. I loved both poems. Ode on a Grecian Urn, who knew Keats and Tennyson would come up on a Lost site. I love this place.

    Kat, nice rules of philosphy

  28. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:13 a.m. Comment: 28

Or in the words of the immortal Toby Keith, “I love this bar, it’s my kinda place. Just walkin though the front door puts a big smile on my face.”

  29. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:13 a.m. Comment: 29

    I hope Stip comes back…

  30. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:18 a.m. Comment: 30

he will. he’s just thinkin’ right now.

  31. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:19 a.m. Comment: 31

jp why the -1? I guess thats one of the trolls?

  32. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:19 a.m. Comment: 32

heh, kat sometimes I think those two philosophers have conversations in my head :-)

l-k, it’s an honor to find my consideration so honored (insert infinite regression) :-)

yeah, Tennyson’s Ullysses could actually be Jack flashforward now I comes to think of it.

  33. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:22 a.m. Comment: 33

dunno l-k, could be, the morning trolls

trolls hide under bridges, tolls are at entrances to bridges

    coincidence?

  34. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:23 a.m. Comment: 34

    go down that road, please

  35. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:29 a.m. Comment: 35

l-k you mean the toll road? or were you talking about Ulysses=Jack

  36. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:30 a.m. Comment: 36

Its not a coincidence if the trolls utlimately get the tolls is it? Sounds like we need a billy goat gruff to deal with the morning trolls.

  37. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:30 a.m. Comment: 37

Ulysses = Jack, I’m not smart enough to pull it off, you are.

  38. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:35 a.m. Comment: 38

Kat, thanks. You’re not so bad either you know. Don’t tell the newbies about it though. They won’t cower with fear when the post bad theories if they know the truth.

  39. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:37 a.m. Comment: 39

as you are doing, kat. :-)

Well that poem is all about how Ulysses, having finally made it back to Ithaca, can’t stand it there and longs to be back wandering the seas.

That poem has a great line describing, well “being” I guess:

I am a part of all that I have met; Yet all experience is an arch wherethro’ Gleams that untravell’d world whose margin fades For ever and for ever when I move.

  40. Stip Aug 18, 2007 8:38 a.m. Comment: 40

Went for a jog to clear my head…

I would appreciate it if you guys would flag Friday’s debacle as “not a theory” to take it off the main board.

Yes, I think we crossed several lines or moral decency last night. In fact I think we stomped on them, with a vengeance. And I’m embarrassed for any minors that may wander into that thread so I think the best thing to do is supress it.

Is there a way to delete it?

  41. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:41 a.m. Comment: 41

nice jp I think I see a theory coming. It might be oscar worthy.

  42. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 8:42 a.m. Comment: 42

lockeko: my comment 16 was supposed to go under your comment 12.

  43. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:42 a.m. Comment: 43

we can flag it as not a theory. That will work. How was the jog brother. Hope you didn’t twist your ankle or anything

  44. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 8:42 a.m. Comment: 44

sure, I’ll flag it Stip…dunno how to delete.

  45. Stip Aug 18, 2007 8:44 a.m. Comment: 45

Jaz: I never interpreted Homer to paint Ulysses that way.

btw, I always took Desmond for Ulysses

  46. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:45 a.m. Comment: 46

Jack is the one we’ve seen in the future longing for his sea faring ways though. Plus jack is way cooler than des

  47. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:45 a.m. Comment: 47

    ps i flagged it brotha

  49. Stip Aug 18, 2007 8:49 a.m. Comment: 49

lockeko: dude, I was a div 1 collegiate athlete, back in the day. Can still run a sub :60 400. Ankle twisting is not in the equation, but will someone tell me how to get Jack or des or Sawyer’s upper body?

  50. Stip Aug 18, 2007 8:50 a.m. Comment: 50

Desmond ‘cause of his boat, that’s where my head was at…

    me either kat.

  53. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 8:54 a.m. Comment: 53

stip, Jaz’s comment was based on a nonhomerian work about Ulysses. If you stick with the Odyessy, clearly you’re onto something. But we were way out in left field in 19th century English poetry.

  54. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 9:01 a.m. Comment: 54

stip: I just flagged it as not a theory too. Hope that helps.

  55. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 9:06 a.m. Comment: 55

Annie Its now officially been moved. Shh. Don’t tell anybody where to find it.

  56. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 9:07 a.m. Comment: 56

stip and jaz: it has moved to the “Not really theories” now. So it can still be seen. Is there really no way to delete it so the kiddies can’t read it?

  57. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:08 a.m. Comment: 57

sorry, just taking a shower—yeah Stip I agree if we are talking Homer’s Ulysses, more Des.

Jack my be cool—as in more controlled, less likely to make mistakes, but I’m with kat on that one; prefer the mistake-makin’ Des.

Wow, stip, impressive running man. I do a lot of weights and martial arts stuff, but I could use more cardio. Just not a runner.

  58. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 9:10 a.m. Comment: 58

Too late…. sorry, I think I’m just going back to bed.

  59. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 9:13 a.m. Comment: 59

stip, i posted a final comment just now on the rahft. hope it sums it up for ya

  60. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 9:15 a.m. Comment: 60

Freckles I don’t think I’ve ever heard PMS and Jesus in the same sentence. You rock.

  61. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:20 a.m. Comment: 61

yeah I nominate kat for one of the LT Theologian Posts.

cardio—got to get out dancing more. I would dance more at CF but tis hard to hold onto the keyboard..

  62. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 9:22 a.m. Comment: 62

go wireless Jaz, it helps keep from getting all tangled up.

  63. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:22 a.m. Comment: 63

  66. Stip Aug 18, 2007 9:30 a.m. Comment: 66

lockeko: just read that post - thanks man - that was beautiful.

  67. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 9:32 a.m. Comment: 67

anything you told me to be freckles. But If I’m left to my own devices, and we bar lost characters, I’m probably gonna be Falstaff or Polonius, depending on what kind of mood i’m in. If I go modern I would definitely go as Ricky Bobby. All are my heroes. And remember, shake and bake. Who would you go as.

  68. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 9:33 a.m. Comment: 68

no prob stip, it just seemed really appropriate. Lets just chalk that cf up to being a midsummer night’s dream

  69. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:40 a.m. Comment: 69

I’d either go as the Chevalier de Maupin: http://home.comcast.net/~brons/Maupin/MaupinSourcesDautheville.html

    or Grace O’Malley: http://naval-history.suite101.com/article.cfm/grace_omalleyfemalepirate

  70. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:42 a.m. Comment: 70

yeah, lockeko—that really summed up what I was trying to say…you really found the right thing there.

so, how bout you guys (for the costume party)?

  71. Stip Aug 18, 2007 9:43 a.m. Comment: 71

lockeko and Kat: you should go as Romeo and Juliet.

If that doesn’t work, how about Al and Peg Bundy? Peg was bi-located as Helen so there’s your connection to Lost. You just can’t keep that synchronicity down!

  72. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:44 a.m. Comment: 72

going to start getting some work done; checking back in through the day,.

    later, my brothahs and sistahs

    Indiana Jones for me….

  74. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:49 a.m. Comment: 74

heh, just one last thing…if you check out Grace you’ll see that if I went as her Desmond could hold me prisoner (always the Lost connection, Stip)

  75. Stip Aug 18, 2007 9:56 a.m. Comment: 75

    bye Jazzie.

Folks, its sunny and 80 degrees today so I’m joining Jaz and going out to be a part of what looks to be a spectacular day. Hope to check back in later.

    Love you guys (tm).

PS: I re-edited the debacle theory to remove some names, looks like it needs to re-flagged.

  76. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 9:57 a.m. Comment: 76

Uhm did the “rahft” come back from the dead or is there an error on my browwer. Check it out. We may need to reflag it.

  77. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 10:01 a.m. Comment: 77

hello freckles, and have a great weekend

    Morning folks!

I added my flag to it. I don’t see it now. .

  79. dabiatchishere Aug 18, 2007 10:27 a.m. Comment: 79

Jazzie: I really love your idea!

And, as for the debauchery in Stip’s post, I guess that would be my bad! My apologies to all. I always take responsibility for my actions. What, I find disturbing, is that it caused Stip to have regrets!

  80. dabiatchishere Aug 18, 2007 10:32 a.m. Comment: 80

Now, I must go out and clear my head, and use some mouthwash to get rid of that bad taste, left in my mouth!

  81. laurieloop Aug 18, 2007 10:37 a.m. Comment: 81

I almost tried to join in on the CF last night, but wasn’t sure if noobs were welcome or not. I was going to offer up the chatroom at my quoteboard until you guys could get something else set up. It’s not a Lost chatroom, but this way you could talk about whatever you wanted to and not have to worry about the kiddies reading it. I have a small following at my quoteboard, but the chatroom is slow most of the time, so you all are welcome to use it as long as you wish.

    Namaste :-)

  82. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 11:14 a.m. Comment: 82

dab, no need for you to worry. All in good fun my friend. thanks again

  83. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 11:54 a.m. Comment: 83

    dab, ditto what l-k said.

And thanks for the offer laurie. I’m a noob to chat rooms but I’m game. And jump right in on the CF. The raaahft is much bigger than it appears.

  84. TheThinker Aug 18, 2007 12:42 p.m. Comment: 84

Good Morning All!! I’m sorry I missed most of CF. :( But I had to work, and I had meetings, and I had to put my car in the shop, and blah, blah, blah… oh yeah, and I’ve been at my girls house all weekend.

And from the looks of it, I missed a good one! Sorry all. ;)

    So what’d I miss? ;)

  85. lockeko Aug 18, 2007 12:56 p.m. Comment: 85

I’ll wait for one of the ladies to clue you in think, they were having the most fun from what I could tell

  86. shamballa Aug 18, 2007 1:23 p.m. Comment: 86

TT, I missed most the evening’s (eh hem!) revelry too. It got a little steamy near the end.

No worries though! Cool heads (if not fuzzy heads after a hard night) figured out a way to put it on the back shelf.

Laurieloop-de-doop had a great idea and offer. If future CFs start getting all “This film is not rated” on us, than we can high tail it to her place.

  87. TheThinker Aug 18, 2007 3:07 p.m. Comment: 87

Thats funny…you mention a steamy thread and the word “tail” in the same post… naughty. :)

  93. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 8:46 p.m. Comment: 93

I just wanted to apologize to all of you for mentioning where the thread went. Lockeko and I were posting at the same time, he was warning me not to say where, but I couldn’t see that because I was posting myself. I should have thought of it myself though, so stupid. I was truly trying to help you guys out and I feel terrible because someone has already posted there. I felt so much a part of the “family” here, but I shouldn’t have butted in. I’m really very sorry.

  94. laurieloop Aug 18, 2007 9:03 p.m. Comment: 94

@ Annie79, is that about me, and about sham already signing up at my board? I didn’t mean to ruffle any feathers…just wanted to be helpful and maybe get a few new friends at my quoteboard. I’m not sure if other people are reading too much into it, or if I maybe offended anyone in any way. If that’s the case then I apologize and will go away.

Although I’m not sure what lockeko would have to warn people about. Again, if I overstepped and stuck myself where I don’t belong, then I’m sorry. My bad.

  95. jazprof Aug 18, 2007 9:12 p.m. Comment: 95

No laurie, and please don’t got away. And Annie, it’s all good. Actually I appreciated being able to respond to what that person was saying.

kat, that was a particularly odd one…and did you see it was in response to one about Descartes?

  96. dabiatchishere Aug 18, 2007 9:17 p.m. Comment: 96

Hey, Ladies: I just left an apology to the individual as well, and for anyone else who happens to read it. My sincere apologies to everyone, who is feeling the burn on this one. I take full responsibility for it! Kat and Jazzie: I am sorry!

  97. laurieloop Aug 18, 2007 9:19 p.m. Comment: 97

Okay…so I’ve started to think I’m a total idiot. I thought she was talking about sham posting at my board. Then I saw katrina’s post and started to think that I should have not jumped to conclusions. Thanks jaz, for not wanting me to go away.

Guess I haven’t been here long enough to understand what peeps are talking about.

And I’ll admit….lockeko scares me a bit, but he likes that doesn’t he?

  98. Annie79 Aug 18, 2007 9:24 p.m. Comment: 98

laurie: Please don’t worry, it had nothing to do with you at all, I promise.

kat and jaz: Thanks for the kind words. This really has been bothering me all day, but if you’re truly ok with it, then I’ll let myself off the hook. I’m too hard on myself sometimes, maybe this was one of those times.

I really do love you guys and this site is my sanity!

laurie—sorry that should have been “Please don’t go away”—and please don’t! I haven’t even got a chance to check out your site :-)

dab, I am too (sorry, I mean), and no need for you to stand alone—I was there too. I’m not generally big on the advice-giving, but I think it’s probably important to forgive each other, and ourselves…we got carried away—those things happen. Can’t think of anything else to say, cept—I love you guys (tm) :-)

I already posted this comment on the CF thread but I felt the need to post it here too because I feel that I make a valid point. Feel free to tear it apart if you like. Namaste.

” I think that we all need to re-evaluate our reasons for posting here on this site. I agree that some lines were crossed yesterday, and I will also apologize for encouraging (and participating in) the silliness that occured on the rahft. But I think that it’s also important to realize that this is a site dedicated to “worship” of a fictional program that is aired on television. I was raised a Christian myself and served as an alterboy and subsequently as a sub-deacon in the Greek Orthodox church for over 7 years. I have since decided that this religious life wasn’t for me for the very reason that I like to indulge in the “worship” of non-christian fancies like the fictional Lost (over simplified…but I don’t feel the need to go into great detail as to why I left the church.) With that in mind I think that if you are a religious person that is offended by some random inocent silliness posted on a non-christian website you should maybe look for some religious website dedicated to the study of the bible on a level that you can relate to. I am certain (at least in the way that I have understood Christianity) that theorising about Lost would be considered blasphemous and bordering on idolatry. I understand if you get offended when someone quotes the bible to justify typing silly words - but please remember that none of the things that we typed into our computers actually occured in “real life.” They are just words - and none of those words were typed with the intent ot harm or offend. Again - I do apologize if anyone was offended but it was all in good fun and, with all due respect, we don’t really have to apologize to anyone for having a little fun. And as a side note - no matter how religious one is I don’t think that one should have the conciet to begin to imagine what “God” sees as intimate. These are words that mean very different things to different people. I for one feel that I can make a connection with peopel I have never met - and that is just fine. If you can’t or won’t feel that connection then don’t bother to interact with people over the internet. Sorry if this post sounded militant. I just think some people need to lighten up. Good night. :) ”

If you get drunk and call someone and say silly things, we call it drunk dialing. What do you call it when you get drunk and type silly things?

Amen to what Hex said. My real problem with the whole situation is the person that got offended didn’t even do so until after the post was removed from the main board. By that time corrective measures were trying to be taken. That doesn’t sit well with me.

  129. Stip Aug 19, 2007 7:20 a.m. Comment: 129

Hex, Annie, laurie, wtf, lockeko: you guys are awesome!

And Hex, you’re right man, intimacy has a meaning that is vast. For many of us, we are separated by geography, but connected by the show. And as wtf said, our families just aren’t into it like our LT family is, so in that regard, that is our intimacy.

    Morning all!

I hope you all read my apology #115 from last night, it was meant for all of you, not just the girls. I hope you all feel the same way they do about it.

lockeko: drunk dialing is different, drunk typing is, as we found out, indelible. It’s a different world out there now, once you type it, it’s there forever. I still say there should be a way to delete a thread, Jeff would still see it, but at least it would be off the site.

stip: I couldn’t agree more. And right back at you-awesome as well! I live alone with my golden retriever, Clancy, and two cats. They’re great and I love them to death, but they just don’t get Lost. No matter how many times I try to explain what just happened while we watch together!!!

My friends aren’t into Lost, so when I found this site I felt like I had found a great group of friends who shared something that I was really into. But, I do feel the friendly banter has brought it to a whole different level of closeness that can’t be explained.

  135. lockeko Aug 19, 2007 7:51 a.m. Comment: 135

Annie, does Clancy have a high opinion of vincent? My dogs tell me that vincent, while pretty sharp, is not the secret to the island. Olive, my minature dauschund, told me that in one episode you can see Vincent gnawing on Artz’s dead finger. She’s pretty sure that makes him a dog and nothing more. A good dog, but a dog nonetheless.

Annie….trying to explain Lost to your pets could work…..but some animals are just pigheaded…..

    Love you lots :-)

  137. jazprof Aug 19, 2007 8:50 a.m. Comment: 137

Morning all (wow these threads are getting long—maybe THEY are the cobra)!

First a quick response to what Hex said. I think the clearest way I can explain my feelings on the subject would be in terms of “Silliness: Rights & Responsibilities” as illustrated by:

Me, trying perfect my Jack Sparrow walk. I’m not sure how many people have tried this at home, but it does require a great deal of loose arm & leg movement. One is apt to knock over the occasional lamp. Sometimes I want to share my progress in this, and other, silly walks with my friends. Unfortunately, this can lead to the occasional tread on someone’s toes. My subsequent apology doesn’t have to mean that silliness is wrong (though my Jack Sparrow impersonation might be wrong, very wrong) just that it might be a good idea to practice, well, “Safe Silly.”

Hope the above did not do any further toe-treading. Sorry, if it did.

Stip, I like that Alanis song, and that is such a cool idea to include her hair getting cut as part of video.

So here’s the sad thing about my lost-theorizing and having found this wonderful place to hang out as a way to protect family and friends from my obsession—IT HASN’T WORKED! Now, not only do they have to hear about the show, but about all the great ideas I read today and what they made me think of, and you know, how this could have to do with an allusion to chaos theory, and so on, and so forth…. (You can see how I get lots of chances to practice my apology-skills :-) )

  141. Annie79 Aug 19, 2007 9:19 a.m. Comment: 141

lockeko: Clancy, while a beautiful dog and a great companion, apparently has had no opinion on Vicent as yet. If he has, he’s keeping it to himself. But he will, at least, watch it with me.

wtf: Clancy must fall into the pig headed category then. lol

  142. Stip Aug 19, 2007 9:27 a.m. Comment: 142

Jaz: the reason I posted the Alanis video is because I see you as her. Even though everyone respects ProfO to the highest apex, LT revolves quite a bit around you. And the street Alanis walks down in like the LT site. And all the people that interact with her are us: people from all walks of life, cultures, beliefs… on a common path: searching for friendship.

    wow, I love that thought!

  143. dabiatchishere Aug 19, 2007 9:50 a.m. Comment: 143

    Jazzie: I echo Stip’s thoughts!

    And beautifully said, Stip!

TO: Everyone: I have an idea! What if, on Casual Fridays, whoever does the post, posts it and “Mature Content” is placed in the title, and everyone that logs into the thread flags it to “The Offensive” category. That might work, and it wouldn’t be on the main page, when people log in!

    Thoughts, all???

dab—might be worth a try, though 2 thoughts since the “Offensive” category is still easily readable: 1) still want to practice Safe Silly and 2) if I were a kid that looking for mature content that is absolutely the first place I’d check.

    thanks to you too pucko!
