When I wrote the “devine entity” therory, I doubted anyone one would like it and I would end up in the “most creative” or “least likely” catagories…. BUT ALAS! My seed has yeilded a fruit.

The fact that someone has done thier research into the gematria and produced some rather interesting results to support my idea… well I got goose-bumps!

For the 108- a giant, a fruit of a deep valley… Ever since the show started I have had the sneaky suspicion that it is a valcano. Do you think that it could be the prision deep within?

The writers could very well have taken all of this into account when coming up with their numbers and hatch symbols, with the storyline intent that the Dharma folks came up with them based on local mythology, but I don’t think it necessarily means there really is a supernatural deity on the island. There may be one for all I know, but for now at least, I’m thinking that they might have just been doing like modern societies do, when we assign names to ships/sports teams/scientific studies/ towns/etc like Poisidon, Titans, Atlantis, Hercules, etc. But regardless of my indecision on this one, as usual, your research is great!

I just wish they’d get on with the show, quit dragging things out for so long with breaks between episodes. All this debating is wearing my brains out ! Too many theories, too many possibilities ! We need more CLUES.

Alright I just registered here, after reading a few theories. I have yet to see season 3 as it has not come out in Finland yet (it’s way too slow here). Anyways I’ve been pondering over the numbers as well and it’s creepy to see the numbers and also the bunker names can be located in this system Bigez and robert brewington wrote about. I have a smaller theory of my own that has been in my mind, annoying me to the point I couldn’t sleep.

As first, as you noticed in the episode Lockdown, the map appeared as the black lights turned on. I paused there and watched the map, as you could see there were several markings which I assume are other bunkers. There are alltogether 7 “hatches” of which 1 is overruled. And then the “?” in the middle, which I assume is the Pearl. The other bunkers, Swan, Staff, Flame, Arrow, are clearly marked out. The remaining 2 have something of a text that seems like “c4?” on them, whatever that means I have no idea. As it seems, told by Desmond’s flashback, Kelvin and his partner made the map, so I’m not sure if it’s reliable. There are also markings saying CVI, CVII, and CVIII. Purpose is uncertain. The text beside the map is unintelliglible at all what I’ve been able to see the map, by pausing the dvd, but I noticed that there was text about the CV - markings mostly combined with the word “Accident”. This is strange and I would really look into this more if I could find a more accurate version of the map. I havn’t found one yet.

Also, as Desmond read the logfile from the Pearl, he noticed that the day the System Failiure occurred, when he didnt press the button in time, was the same day as flight 815 crashed. Which overruled Locke’s theory of the button being only a psychological experiment. Also you could notice that the pneumatic tube that lead from the Pearl just went out into the jungle (Live Together, Die Alone). So was the Pearl in that case a psychological experiment? Or had there been a sort of mobile Dharma HQ at that location, that now is gone? So many questions, maybe you people can come with something here… I needed to put this down somewhere.

A bit of criticism against the theories about the island’s EM preventing polar reverse… If the Swan was a station to keep the earth’s magnetic field on the right way, to prevent the destruction of the world of men, why did it have something that seemed of a self-destruct mechanism (System Shutdown in the “basement”)? I know my knowledge here is a bit faulty as I’ve not seen any season 3 episodes so I dont know anything what happened after Desmond turned the key. This still puzzles me, about the other stations. Of what use are they? Is the Swan the only important station in that case, that is keeping up the mag.field? What about the Arrow, that was something of a wreck. Did it have a similiar purpose?

The middle section of the plane that crashed… ~42 survivors? Tail section, I think I saw only 4? Perhaps the numbers have something to do with the number of people on different parts of the island with different purposes… to think of the Others. Rosseau is an exception though… This thing I thought of is very rough but it is still something I couldn’t get off my mind. Needs more investigation, though.

i read the map and it says that in the location of the black rock hagor hanso died there this is also no where near cv 1-cv 11 and cv111
